(1860-1937) Файлин, Эдуард АлбертБизнесмен. С 1891 был управляющим универсального магазина [ department store] "Сыновья Уильяма Файлина" в г. Бостоне. В его магазине впервые в США появился отдел (в подвальном этаже) "автоматической распродажи" [Automatic Bargain Basement], где цены на товары систематически и автоматически снижались, если товар еще оставался на складе. Активно участвовал в политической жизни города: вместе с Л. Стеффенсом [ Steffens, (Joseph) Lincoln] занимался укреплением служб здравоохранения и школьного образования, содействовал развитию кооперативного движения. В начале XX века основал первую Торгово-промышленную палату в г. Бостоне. Помогал создавать Торгово-промышленную палату США [ Chamber of Commerce of the United States].
